Remeber Me?

Yeah…I didn’t think so! I’m kidding! After a week at the beach, I came home and have not been feeling well. I’m doing the best I can to make it through work and take care of the little one when I get home, so blogging has taken a back seat for a bit. Oh well, that’s life!

Steven recently had finals, so my parents offered to let me and Little G go to the beach with them so he could have a quite house for studying.  My sister, her husband and their little girl (Little G’s BFF) were already there with her hubby’s family.  Of course we said yes!

Unfortunately, our week at the beach wasn’t as perfect. We had record low temps while we were there and so much rain and wind, going to the beach just didn’t work out for us. We did go out for about 45 minutes, but that was all Little G could take because sand was blowing in her face.

Before we left, I dropped off a cake for a bridal shower.

Then, Little G and I painted our toenails to match. She actually sat there and let me do it!  We used a blow dryer on cool to dry them a bit. She kept saying, “Pretty toe!”

We did get to go out to some of our favorite places to eat (crab claws are the only seafood that I eat). I have tried to like all kinds of fish because I know that it’s good stuff, but I just can’t handle it. The taste and texture just weird me out.

My parent’s have a travel trailer and we stayed at the state park . We’ve done this since I was a kid.  We’ve stayed in hotels and condos too, but since camping there is what I’ve done the most, I love it!  It’s just so pretty and peaceful in the state park, and it’s a great place to run!

Because the weather was so bad, we spent one morning looking at campers.  I am trying to talk the husband into getting a small pop up camper.  He loves to hike and tent camp, but is not too excited about the camper idea.  Little G was even trying to help pick the best one and convince her daddy that we need one someday!

IMAG0379                  IMAG0380I think she will have the final word. 😉

It was so nice to get away, even if the beach wasn’t perfect, and it was fun to spend extra time with my family.  I’m already ready to go back!

Where did you go on your last vacation?
